A traffic citation led to a meth bust in Moncks Corner, according to the BCSO.

Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 62-year-old Gregory Bush of Bonneau during a February 7 traffic stop in Moncks Corner for an inoperative tag light on his black Ford Raptor. A K9 alert led to the discovery of 26.3 grams of methamphetamine in the truck bed, along with a firearm that Bush disclosed.

Charges and Seizure

Bush faces trafficking methamphetamine (10-28 grams) and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Sheriff Duane Lewis praised the proactive patrol for removing dangerous drugs from the community.

BCSO Commitment

The agency emphasized ongoing efforts against illegal narcotics to enhance public safety in Berkeley County. This incident follows recent local public safety events like North Charleston arrests and Summerville shootings.
