South Carolina has now reported six weather-related deaths from the ongoing winter storm, with two additional hypothermia cases confirmed in Laurens County.
Latest Fatalities
An 85-year-old man died Wednesday from hypothermia, followed by a 91-year-old woman Friday, both in Laurens County and ruled storm-related by the coroner. A prior 79-year-old man in Oconee County succumbed to a slip-and-fall plus hypothermia.
