Jakeem Littles was arrested by the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office and charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of Lafaysia Rogers, a Marlboro County woman.

Littles, apprehended without incident by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Fugitive Task Force in Fort Mill on Wednesday, was booked into the Marlboro County Detention Center. The incident occurred between late Thanksgiving night and Friday morning last month, leaving Rogers critically injured before she died in hospital after several days.
Victim and Incident Background
Rogers, aged 33, was dropped off in Bennettsville city limits, initially investigated by local police before transfer to the Sheriff’s Office when no city connection was found. She leaves behind children, with family expressing shock and devastation.
Ongoing Investigation
Marlboro County Coroner De’Aron Smith is collaborating with Bennettsville Police, SLED, and others on a full autopsy to determine cause and manner of death. Multiple agencies, including the Fourth Circuit Solicitor’s Office, are involved in this multi-jurisdictional case.
