Low Country, South Carolina — Us News released a study Tuesday morning detailing their list of South Carolina’s best schools, which included several Lowcountry schools.
Every year, the magazine evaluates the best kindergarten through eighth-grade schools on a national and state level.
Charleston’s Buist Academy was once again named the top kindergarten through eighth-grade elementary school in the state. Despite its consistent first-place position in elementary schools, Buist placed second in South Carolina for middle schools.
According to the same assessment, Belle Hall Elementary School surged eight spots from previous year to rank in the top ten schools.
Charleston’s Orange Grove Elementary Charter School ranked highest among Lowcountry charter schools for grades kindergarten through eight. East Cooper Montessori Charter placed fourth in the same category, but second for kindergarten through eighth-grade middle charter schools.
Palmetto Scholars Academy made the list in North Charleston, demonstrating the love.
