North Charleston, South Carolina – An armed robbery in North Charleston was investigated, and a stolen pistol was recovered.
Officers from the North Charleston Police Department rushed to Alston Avenue on Thursday evening to investigate a report of two individuals robbing people at gunpoint.
A short time later, a suspect matching the stated description was spotted on Midland Park Road.
Atlai Reyes Carrera, 19, was caught following a brief foot chase. According to officials, he was carrying a stolen gun.
Carrera was charged with possession of stolen property. He was lodged into Al Cannon Detention Center.
