North Charleston police conduct an investigation following a pit bull incident on Commander Road

North Charleston, South Carolina. The North Charleston Police Department is investigating a dog attack that took place on Commander Road on Sunday.

According to a police report, officers arrived on the scene to find a victim with multiple dog bites, including one on the back of the head that was bleeding profusely.

The victim reported being attacked by a pit bull that had jumped out of the suspect’s vehicle as they were leaving the scene.

Following the attack, the suspect reportedly got his dog and escaped in a red Chevy Malibu.

The victim told police where the suspect worked and where they had previously lived, but police were unable to find him. They were last seen exiting the city via Ashley River Road in West Ashley.
