An investigation is ongoing in downtown Charleston following an early morning vehicle fire on Saturday. At approximately 6:40 a.m., the Charleston Police Department and Charleston Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle fire near the intersection of Reid and Hanover Streets.
Arson Suspected
Officials discovered a second vehicle on Reid Street that had also been damaged by fire. Both vehicles, a sedan and a Jeep, are believed to have been intentionally set on fire and are being investigated as cases of arson. Photos shared online show severe fire damage to both vehicles.
Investigation and Next Steps
