WARRENVILLE, S.C. — Crews from Aiken Fire, Langley Fire, and the Forestry Commission responded to a large brush fire Saturday afternoon on a property off Legion Road, near Plainview Drive in Warrenville.

Fire Destroys Vehicles and Jet Skis

The fire destroyed five vehicles and two jet skis, though thankfully, no injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged. Authorities evacuated nearby residents for about an hour while firefighters worked to get the blaze under control.

Cause of the Fire and Burn Ban

Crews on the scene believe the fire may have started due to a neighbor doing some burning, although the exact cause remains under investigation. It is important to note that South Carolina is currently under a statewide burn ban, which went into effect on April 17 in response to dry conditions across the state.
