Two people slain in Mother's Day shooting near Charlotte restaurant

Charlotte, N.C. — Early on May 10, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to two shootings that left two men dead and several injured.

Shooting Near Stockyard Restaurant

Around 4 a.m., police found 25-year-old Tionte Lamont Morrison dead at the scene near the Stockyard Restaurant on Rozzelles Ferry Road. 34-year-old Keith Abraham Wallace was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities have not yet identified a suspect or revealed what led to the shooting. They are asking anyone with information to contact 704-432-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.

Shooting at Onyx Nightclub

At the same time, there was another shooting at the Onyx nightclub on Old Pineville Road, leaving multiple people injured. Details on the victims or the cause of the shooting are still unclear.

Both incidents are under investigation.
