A Union woman has been arrested after police say she fired shots toward a woman and two small children during a drive-by shooting in 2025.

Woman Charged With Attempted Murder

According to the Union Public Safety Department, 22-year-old Katlyn Madison Rice was arrested Monday and charged with three counts of attempted murder.

Authorities said Rice was booked into the Union County Detention Center and later granted a combined $300,000 bond for the charges.

Shooting Incident on Foster Street

Arrest warrants state that Rice and another person were driving past a home on Foster Street in Union in June 2025 when shots were fired toward people standing in the yard.

Investigators said the victims included a woman and two young children. The children were reportedly just 2 months old and 2 years old at the time of the shooting.

No Injuries Reported

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident despite the gunfire. Police have not released additional details about a possible motive or the identity of the passenger who was with Rice.

The investigation remains ongoing.
