Kings Mountain, N.C. — The Kings Mountain Police Department is actively searching for Michael Cody Wilson, who is wanted in connection with a home invasion that took place early on May 9 in the Lake Montonia area.
Details of the Home Invasion
At approximately 5:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a forced entry into a home. Wilson, armed with a sawed-off shotgun, allegedly threatened and terrorized the resident before stealing property and fleeing the scene on foot.
Search Efforts and Evidence Recovered
A multi-agency search was conducted, and several items believed to be related to the crime were found, including the sawed-off shotgun, a face mask, and gloves in a wooded area nearby. K9 units and drones were deployed during the search, but Wilson remains at large.
Suspect Description
Wilson is described as a white male, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, with multiple tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and black shoes.
