One person was taken to the hospital Friday night following a motorcycle crash in Myrtle Beach.
Crash Happened on Highway 17 Bypass
Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded around 8:51 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 17 Bypass near 38th Avenue North.
Police said the motorcycle appeared to have laid over, or fallen onto its side.
Rider Expected to Recover
Authorities said the motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following the crash.
Officials indicated the rider is expected to be OK.
Traffic Delays Reported
At one point, witnesses reported significant traffic backups in the area.
Police said one lane of Highway 17 Bypass remained blocked while crews worked the scene.
The motorcycle was later towed away.
