The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one person injured Sunday night.
Victim Found With Gunshot Wound
According to authorities, deputies responded to Hancock Road, off Vaucluse Road, around 8:11 p.m. on May 11 after receiving reports of a shooting victim.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found one person suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. Emergency responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials have not released the victim’s identity or current condition.
Investigation Underway
The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is now leading the investigation into the shooting.
At this time, authorities say no suspects have been identified, and investigators have not released details about what may have led to the incident.
