Authorities are investigating a suspicious death after a body was discovered Tuesday afternoon in Anderson, South Carolina.
Police Respond to Suspicious Death
According to the Anderson Police Department, officers were called to a residence on East North Avenue around 12:39 p.m. following reports of a suspicious death.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office also responded to the scene.
Investigation Ongoing
Detectives remained at the location Tuesday as they executed a search warrant and interviewed witnesses.
Officials have not released the identity of the deceased person or the cause of death.
Road Closure in Area
Police said a section of Boundary Street near East North Avenue will remain closed while investigators continue their work.
Authorities noted that there is currently no known threat to the public.
The investigation remains active, and additional information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
