A Florida mother is facing charges after allegedly causing multiple injuries to her infant child.

Allegations

Hunter Deeann Miller, 23, is accused of inflicting at least 10 possible fractures on her baby and then blaming others for the injuries. She is charged with first-degree child abuse, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigation

The investigation spanned three counties and took several months due to Miller providing false information. Authorities said she repeatedly lied to protect herself and tried to shift blame onto innocent people.

Incident Details

In November, the child was taken to a hospital in St. Johns County with a suspected broken arm. Miller claimed someone else dropped the baby, but video evidence proved the child was never dropped. Later, additional medical records revealed multiple past fractures, showing at least 10 potential injuries over the child’s short life.

Arrest and Bond

Miller was arrested and taken to the Putnam County Jail. She posted a $50,000 bond. Her next court date has not yet been announced.
