State police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in York County

An officer-involved shooting is under investigation in York County after law enforcement officers attempted to serve a warrant at an apartment complex in Fort Mill.

Shooting Occurs During Warrant Service

According to authorities, the incident happened around noon Tuesday at the Sycamore Apartments on Springfield Parkway.

Officers were serving a warrant when the shooting occurred on the second floor of the apartment complex.

Warrant Linked to Child Exploitation Investigation

Officials said the warrant was related to an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The operation also involved members of a multi-jurisdictional drug enforcement unit.

The specific charges connected to the warrant have not been released.

The York County Sheriff’s Office said no officers were physically injured during the incident.
