Two men were arrested in North Charleston after police found thousands of dollars worth of narcotics during a motel investigation.
The Arrests
Officers executed a search warrant at the Siesta Motor Lodge on Rivers Avenue Monday, leading to the arrests of 31-year-old Kenneth William Rouse of North Charleston and 29-year-old Michael Germaine Scott Jr. of Summerville. Scott initially attempted to flee but surrendered outside the building. Both were taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
Seized Drugs
Police found:
- 30 grams of cocaine
- 63 grams of cocaine base
- 29 grams of fentanyl
- 14 doses of pills
The total street value of the seized narcotics is estimated at nearly $10,000.
Charges
Rouse faces multiple charges including trafficking cocaine, trafficking fentanyl, manufacturing cocaine base, and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana. Scott faces charges of trafficking and manufacturing cocaine base.
