A Minnesota man is facing charges after police say a toddler pulled a gun from a diaper bag during a traffic stop.

Toddler Allegedly Pointed Gun at Officer

According to reports, police in St. Paul stopped a 37-year-old driver on May 11 for allegedly not wearing a seatbelt.

During the stop, officers learned the man had an active warrant and began taking him into custody.

Gun Found Inside Diaper Bag

Police said there were three children under the age of 3 inside the vehicle.

While officers were arresting the man, one of the toddlers allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it at an officer.

Investigators said the child later indicated the gun came from a diaper bag inside the car.

Weapon Was Not Loaded

Authorities said officers safely recovered the firearm.

The gun was reportedly unloaded, though police said bullets were found inside the magazine.

Father Facing Charges

The man has been charged with child endangerment involving firearm access and carrying a pistol without a permit.

Police have not publicly released his identity.
