NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — Detectives with the North Charleston Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the Dorchester Terrace neighborhood.
Incident Details
Officers responded just before 6 p.m. to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Accabee Road and Madden Drive. Witnesses told investigators that a parked car was shot at by a passing pickup truck. During the shooting, a nearby home was also struck by a round of gunfire.
Victim and Investigation
A short time later, dispatchers were notified that a gunshot victim had arrived at a local emergency room for treatment. The extent of the victim’s injuries has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing, and no suspect information has been provided. Authorities are urging anyone with information to submit anonymous tips through the department’s CRIMEWATCH app.
