Dosa N’ More, located at 709 Crossroads Plaza, earned a B (79 points) during a routine inspection on April 28, the lowest B grade issued that month. Violations included raw eggs stored above ready-to-eat food, lack of a date-marking system for temperature-controlled foods, and use of non-approved T-shirt-style bags for produce. Other violations included food on the floor, unclean food prep surfaces, and damaged equipment. A follow-up inspection was required within 10 days to address the issues.

Hoof and Barrel – York

Hoof and Barrel received a B grade (87 points) on April 30. Several food safety concerns were identified, including improperly stored employee food and uncovered beverages on food contact surfaces. Cold holding issues were noted, with several items found above the 41°F maximum. Strong Performance Across the County

The inspections revealed a strong performance overall, with the majority of food service establishments earning top grades. However, several businesses did face challenges in maintaining food safety standards. The South Carolina Department of Agriculture continues to monitor these establishments through follow-up inspections to ensure compliance and maintain high standards of food safety across the county.

As of now, no establishments in York County have received a grade of C or lower, reflecting positively on the local food service industry’s commitment to providing safe and quality food to the community.
