A man in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, is facing multiple serious charges, including kidnapping, criminal sexual conduct, and HIV exposure, after he was arrested following the safe recovery of a missing juvenile.
Arrest and Charges
Robert Eugene Hall, 54, was arrested on April 23, 2025, after deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was linked to a missing juvenile case. Hall is now facing numerous charges, including:
- Kidnapping
- Criminal sexual conduct with a minor (two counts)
- Criminal sexual conduct with a minor 2nd degree (three counts)
- Criminal sexual conduct with a minor 3rd degree (three counts)
- Contributing to the delinquency of a minor (two counts)
- Cruelty to children
- Possession of methamphetamine (first offense)
- Unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the presence of a minor child
- HIV/Exposing another to the HIV virus
Hall is being held without bond at the Spartanburg County Detention Facility.
Incident Details
The investigation began when family members reported that a juvenile had left their home. The family provided law enforcement with the details of a vehicle they believed the juvenile was traveling in. Deputies then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and safely recovered the juvenile, who was taken to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation before being reunited with family members.
Investigation Unfolds
As investigators continued to gather evidence, they determined that Hall had allegedly coerced the juvenile into leaving home after communicating with the individual electronically. Special Victims Unit investigators took over the case, and further inquiries revealed that Hall had allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted the juvenile.
