The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is revisiting a cold missing persons case that has remained unsolved for over two decades. Investigators are still searching for answers regarding the disappearance of Heather Sellers, who was last seen in 2002.
Disappearance of Heather Sellers
Heather Sellers, then working at a Waffle House near I-85, was last seen leaving a family member’s home with her boyfriend in 2002. According to reports, the boyfriend, Jonathan Vick, later claimed that he had dropped Sellers off at a club after picking her up. However, Sellers never showed up to collect her final two paychecks, which raises further concerns about her disappearance.
Jonathan Vick’s Background
Vick, who has since been convicted of a separate crime, was sentenced to life in prison for the 1995 murder of Dana Satterfield in Spartanburg County. Despite his conviction, Vick has refused to cooperate with investigators looking into Sellers’ disappearance. Authorities believe Vick may hold key information but are facing challenges in obtaining his assistance.
Ongoing Investigation
Although more than two decades have passed, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case, hoping to uncover new leads or evidence. Sellers’ disappearance remains a mystery, and law enforcement is still determined to bring closure to her family.
