Julian Allen, a 35-year-old driver, died in a head-on crash Thursday evening on the 9900 block of Statesville Road in north Charlotte, just south of I-485 and Huntersville.
Crash Overview
Around 5:30 p.m., Allen’s northbound Toyota Corolla crossed the double yellow line, colliding with southbound Dodge Charger driven by 34-year-old Booker Crank, who sustained minor injuries and was hospitalized. Both vehicles ended up off the road with front-end damage; CMPD’s Major Crash Investigation Unit continues probing possible factors like speed or impairment.
