One person died in a crash on Savannah Highway, and one driver has been apprehended, according to the CCSO.

A 44-year-old man, Ricardo Hernandez-Martinez, faces felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury or death after his pickup truck pulled in front of an SUV on Savannah Highway, causing a collision that killed 69-year-old Phyllis Miller of Beaufort County.

Collision Details
Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies responded late Saturday to the two-vehicle wreck in Ravenel, S.C. The truck crossed into the SUV’s path; all four SUV occupants were hospitalized, with one passenger—Miller—pronounced dead.

Arrest and Investigation
Hernandez-Martinez, uninjured, was arrested at the scene. CCSO seeks public tips at 843-202-1700.
