A Pickens County attorney, Scott Dover, safely returned to Greenville, South Carolina, on Saturday after a close call in Dubai during Middle East conflict.
Incident in Dubai
Dover was staying at the Burj Al-Arab hotel when sirens warned of incoming missiles; an intercepted drone crashed within 100 yards onto the pool deck, sparking a fire. He fled the hotel, flipping his Atlanta Braves T-shirt inside out amid uncertainty, and learned two restaurants he’d recently visited were also struck.
Journey Home
Subsequent strikes canceled his original flight, leaving his family uncertain until Friday morning. His relieved father expressed joy at his return, while his brother credited divine intervention for answering prayers and bringing him back safely.
