Undermines our vital mission: According to deputies, a prison guard locks state welfare employees in their office building when they have a fit about child support.

Quantraves Hall, a 25-year-old Georgia prison guard, faces four counts each of false imprisonment and terroristic threats after allegedly locking social welfare workers inside a Department of Family and Child Services office in Warner Robins on December 18, 2025. Furious over child support payments, Hall burst into the DFCS building on Cohen Walker Drive, locked the front door to trap four employees, cursed at them, and attempted to enter a restricted area before security removed him. The workers were visibly upset, with one hyperventilating during police interviews.

Incident Escalation

Hall berated the staff about his obligations, preventing their exit in a rage-fueled outburst at the offices south of Macon. Police arrived post-removal, noting the employees’ distress, but Hall had fled; he later voluntarily appeared at the station, admitting to locking and unlocking the door plus his other actions, though he grew argumentative about potential charges.

Arrest and Aftermath

Hall was arrested, charged by Houston County authorities, and briefly detained before posting bond. The Georgia Department of Corrections fired him the next day, citing zero tolerance for oath violations that undermine public safety, emphasizing his conduct does not reflect the professionalism of other officers.
