Three minors were stabbed in separate incidents in Brooklyn and Queens on December 18, 2025, according to NYPD reports. A 12-year-old boy was critically injured in Brownsville, Brooklyn, while two teens were stabbed in Ridgewood, Queens. These events followed a similar stabbing on an MTA bus in Jamaica, Queens.​
Brownsville Playground Stabbing
A 12-year-old boy suffered a chest stab wound around 3 p.m. at Thomas S. Boyland St. and Dumont Ave. EMS transported him to Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition. Two juveniles, aged 9 and 12, were taken into custody, possibly linked to a prior dispute at Betsy Head Park.​
Ridgewood Street Stabbing
Just before 5 p.m., a 13-year-old boy was stabbed in the chest and a 15-year-old in the back at Seneca Ave. and Palmetto St. Both were hospitalized in stable condition after what police linked to a street fight captured on surveillance video. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.​
Related Jamaica Bus Incident
Two days earlier, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the abdomen on an MTA bus in Jamaica, Queens, and taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jamaica in stable condition. The suspect, last seen in a burgundy jacket, teal sweatpants, black socks, white sneakers, and carrying a black purse, fled at Parsons Boulevard and 82nd Drive.
