Authorities say a guy shoved a woman off an elevated rail platform, killing her

A man in Miami, Florida, is accused of throwing a woman off a subway station to her death, seemingly without provocation.
Jorge Gomez, 45, faces second-degree murder charges, according to Miami-Dade County jail records. He was arrested on Thursday, but the violent event allegedly occurred days earlier.
On November 14, about 12:30 p.m., Gomez arrived at the Dadeland North Metrorail Station. Kanisa Love, 32, was also present. According to an arrest complaint acquired by local source WPLG, Gomez approached Love, who was backing away from him, and threw her to the ground without warning.

“He pushed the victim off the Metrorail platform, resulting in her death,” a prosecutor stated when Gomez appeared in court on Friday, according to Miami-based NBC station WTVJ.

“He killed a 32-year-old woman standing on a Metrorail station and pushed her off,” Judge Mindy Glazer stated. “You see it all.”

According to video footage from the site, the platform is elevated dozens of feet above earth.

Despite the fact that the woman fell just after midday, authorities reportedly did not arrive to the scene until the following morning. They established that Love was killed by blunt force trauma to the head.

During his Friday court appearance, Gomez was ordered to be kept without bond.

The defendant reportedly has an arrest record dating back to 2014.
