Ohio man fatally shoots three people, including two children, before turning gun on himself

Police say an Ohio man fatally shot two children and an adult before killing himself.

According to a Tiffin Police Department press release, officers were summoned to the 100 block of Huss St. shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 19 after receiving a report of “shots fired and screaming.”

Officers located four victims with gunshot wounds, as well as a “adult female who was physically uninjured but clearly in a state of shock, overwhelmed, and visibly traumatized,” according to police.

The incident occurred “during an effort by the mother of two children to remove belongings from the residence following ongoing domestic issues in the home,” according to the announcement.

According to authorities, Dustin Willey, the woman’s 7-year-old son’s father, was at the house to assist her with moving out.

According to authorities, her 42-year-old husband, Ryan Eagon, was believed to be out for work at the time.

According to authorities, the mother and Willey, 29, were gathering leftover goods inside the home as her oldest son and 7-month-old newborn boy were outside near a vehicle. When they heard the oldest son cry out, they rushed to check on the kids and discovered Eagon on the driveway, according to the release.

Police say Eagon chased Willey and fired multiple bullets at him. He then shot both children “before directing additional gunfire at Dustin,” according to the release, after which he killed himself.

The woman told authorities that she moved her injured children inside the house before officers arrived.

Willey was transferred to Tiffin Mercy Hospital, where he died of his injuries. The seven-year-old kid also died in the hospital. The child and Eagon were both pronounced dead at home.

WTVG claimed that Eagon is the father of the woman’s 7-month-old child.

“This incident remains an active investigation by the Tiffin Police Department with assistance from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Seneca County Coroner’s Office,” stated the authorities.

Autopsies are still awaiting as of Friday, November 21.

Kelly Gallagher, Willey’s former boss, told WTVG that Willey was a devoted father who adored his son.

“He would do anything for that boy,” she claimed. “He simply demonstrated what it was like to be a single father and that he would be a part of his life. He accomplished a lot with him.
