A Michigan mother shopping at a Kids Foot Locker with her children allegedly went wild after someone behind her in line called her a “broke b—” after her card was denied, leading to her killing a teenager who was in the store, according to police.
Victim Suniya Jenkins, 19, told local Fox affiliate WJBK that she was inside the Kids Foot Locker at Southland Center mall in Taylor when the female suspect allegedly lost her cool after making the comment before being randomly stabbed by her.
Jenkins argues she did not make the alleged statement about the suspect being a “broke b—,” but she did enter the Foot Locker to investigate after hearing a ruckus.
“I think it was unfair to me to get stabbed,” Jenkins told WJBK, claiming that the lady allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab her neck, stomach, and thigh. “To start, I was stabbed four times and I have a punctured lung right now.”
Jenkins claims the woman was yelling at individuals at the Foot Locker cashier when she started snapping at the teenager. She claims the woman had children with her.
“As the argument got verbal, she put her hand in her purse and proceeded to tell me she was going to shoot me,” Jenkins said. “I did not see or even know I was stabbed until after the physical altercation.”
According to WJBK, the female suspect has been apprehended and is expected to face charges.
“I am going to press charges, but it does sadden me because I don’t want her to be taken away from her children, I truly don’t,” Jenkins told the reporter.
The police did not react to Law&Crime’s request for comment. Jenkins is anticipated to fully recover.
