Hanahan, South Carolina – A department head at the City of Hanahan has been placed on paid leave while separation papers are being prepared, Hanahan Mayor Christie Rainwater confirmed to News 2 on Wednesday.
At the time, Mayor Rainwater was unable to provide any additional information about the staff member or the reason for the individual’s leave.
However, many sources tell News 2 that the Hanahan Fire Department is actively administered by the assistant fire chief.
