SOUTH CAROLINA— Authorities stated that a Cherokee County man drowned in a farm pond on Sunday evening.
Officials said they were dispatched to Jones Street at 6 p.m. when Leron Lee Williams, 34, fell into the sea while on a boat with his 6-year-old son.
According to investigators, the incident occurred as they attempted to change seats on the boat.
Williams did not surface, but his kid swam to shore and yelled for help. The coroner confirmed that Williams was not wearing a life jacket throughout the incident.
