Rock Hill voters will have an opportunity to shape the future of local education in the School Board Election scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Here’s what voters need to know:
Election Information
Election Day: Tuesday, November 4, 2025, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Early Voting: Available from October 20 to October 31, 2025, weekdays 8:30 AM–5:00 PM at any York County early voting center. Voters must bring a Photo ID. No early voting on weekends or the Monday before Election Day.
Voter Registration: Residents must register at least 30 days before the election to participate.
Board Structure & Seats
The Rock Hill Schools (York County District 3) Board consists of 7 members who serve four-year terms.
Multiple seats, including at-large and district seats, are typically on the ballot, and recent elections have seen a mix of incumbents and new candidates.
All elections are nonpartisan.
How to Vote
On Election Day, voters must use their assigned polling location, which can be found online or by contacting York County Voter Registration.
Early voting is available at three locations in Rock Hill, York, and Fort Mill.
Board Meetings & Public Participation
Meetings are generally held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, open to the public at the Rock Hill Schools District Office.
Those wishing to speak at a meeting about agenda items must submit a request in advance. There is also an open forum option for public concerns.
