Florence County, South Carolina – The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) has accused a former FedEx employee with lottery fraud.
Trevor Jamir Hampton, 25, of Kingstree, was arrested last Thursday and charged with two counts of intent to defraud for counterfeiting game tickets, according to SLED.
According to arrest warrants, Hampton admitted on August 19 of removing South Carolina Education Lottery scratch-off tickets that fell out of a package while being sent from the Florence FedEx Ground facility.
He was also seen on tape attempting to pass around scratch-off lottery tickets at Cruizers and Sav Mart in Florence.
According to the warrants, Hampton was employed at the FedEx Ground facility when the lottery tickets were stolen.
Hampton was freed from the Florence County Detention Center on a $10,000 bail.
