A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning in a collision on U.S. Highway 29 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
Crash Details
At around 5:59 a.m., a 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle traveling north was struck by a 2021 Volkswagen sedan attempting a left turn onto Fairforest Clevedale Road. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Victim Identified
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office identified the rider as 28-year-old Erik Estrada of Spartanburg.
Fatal Wrecks in Spartanburg County
This crash is the latest in a series of fatal accidents in Spartanburg County, which currently has the highest number of fatal wrecks in South Carolina in 2026. As of Tuesday, the county recorded 28 fatalities this year, according to the Boiling Springs Fire Department.
