An 18-year-old man was arrested after fleeing the scene of a crash in North Charleston.
Incident Details
The collision occurred at the intersection of Dorchester Road and Apartment Boulevard. North Charleston police responded after receiving a report of a crash involving injuries. Dispatch later advised that one vehicle had left the scene.
Suspect Pursuit and Arrest
Police located the fleeing vehicle on Cross County Road. When officers attempted a traffic stop, 18-year-old Fernando Alvarez Rosales of Leesville failed to yield, prompting a brief pursuit. Traffic congestion eventually forced him to stop at the intersection of Ashley Phosphate Road.
Rosales was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Al Cannon Detention Center.

Rosales faces multiple charges, including:
- Failure to stop for blue lights and siren
- Leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries
- Leaving the scene of an accident with property damage
