A daytime shooting at a convenience store in South Carolina has led to multiple charges and an ongoing manhunt. Thankfully, no one was injured, but authorities are treating the incident very seriously.
What Happened in Orangeburg
The shooting took place in Orangeburg at a Marathon/4-Way Stop convenience store located at Magnolia and Chestnut streets.
According to the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday when multiple shots were fired.
Deputies quickly responded to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire.
No Injuries Reported
Despite several shots being fired, officials confirmed that:
- No one was injured
- The situation could have been far worse
Sheriff Leroy Ravenel said the community was fortunate that no lives were lost.

Authorities have already charged several individuals in connection with the case:
- Yikese Franklin (24):
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated breach of peace
- Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- Criminal conspiracy
- Ciarra Copeland (31):
- Accessory after the fact of a felony
Suspects Still at Large
Two suspects are still being actively searched for:
- Qzah Brown (19)
- Daniel Brown (22)
They are facing charges including:
- Attempted murder
- Aggravated breach of peace
- Criminal conspiracy
Qzah Brown also faces an additional charge for possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Warning from Authorities
Sheriff Ravenel issued a strong warning, stating that anyone helping or hiding the suspects will also face legal consequences.
