A woman in West Ashley, South Carolina, got an unexpected visitor on her front porch earlier this week: a live alligator.
Alligator Sighting
Michele Bradice noticed a shadow near her front door and peeked through the window. “All I could see was the tail,” she said. When she opened the door slightly, she realized the alligator was about five or six feet long.
Seasonal Occurrence
As warmer weather arrives, alligator sightings are becoming more common across the Lowcountry.
Safety Measures
Bradice called authorities, and Animal Control responded to safely remove the alligator. Residents who see alligators in potentially unsafe areas are urged to contact the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.
