Police in South Carolina are investigating after thieves allegedly cut through a wall to break into a grocery store and steal cash.
Grocery Store Robbery Under Investigation in South Carolina
According to North Charleston police, the break-in happened Sunday night or early Monday morning at El Chavo Grocery on Rivers Avenue.
Officers responding to the scene discovered a hole cut through a wall behind a cooler inside the store.
Suspects Allegedly Entered Through Wall
Investigators said insulation had been removed to gain entry into the business.
The store owner told police that a large amount of cash was missing after the break-in.
Authorities said no other items appeared to have been stolen from the store.
Police Searching for Suspects
North Charleston police are continuing to investigate the robbery.
