A 22-year-old man from North Charleston, Moamen Hassan, has been arrested and is facing charges for threatening the lives of residents at a local apartment complex. Hassan was taken into custody on charges of first-degree assault and battery, as well as pointing and presenting a weapon at a person.
The Incident at Waverly Place Apartments

Initially, they were unable to locate Hassan, but soon received a tip from dispatch that the suspect had jumped a fence and was heading toward the Bosch Charleston Plant on Dorchester Road.
Search and Arrest
Law enforcement quickly moved to the area and successfully located Hassan. He was taken into custody without further incident. Following his arrest, officers searched for the weapon used in the threat, and both the backpack and weapon were recovered.
Charges and Booking
Hassan was booked into the L.C. Knight Detention Center and is currently facing serious charges for his actions. The incident has raised concerns about safety at the apartment complex, but authorities are assuring residents that the situation has been resolved.
