Police in Charleston, South Carolina, have arrested a man accused of stabbing a coworker during an altercation at a downtown restaurant. The incident occurred at Fuel on Rutledge Avenue on June 6, 2025.
The Incident
Officers responded to reports of a stabbing at the restaurant around 2:45 p.m. that afternoon. Callers informed authorities that an employee had been stabbed during a dispute with a coworker. The suspect, later identified as 46-year-old Tyeem Tony Lance, fled the scene before police arrived.
Victim’s Condition and Arrest
The victim was quickly taken to a nearby hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, Lance was arrested on June 11, 2025, and charged with assault and battery in the 2nd degree.
Lance was booked into the Al Cannon Detention Center following his arrest. Authorities have not yet released further details about the altercation, including what led to the confrontation.
