BRYAN, OH — An Ohio woman has been indicted for attempted murder and other charges after allegedly breaking into her ex-husband’s home and firing a gun during the early morning hours.

Incident Details

On April 26, Amanda Heller, 31, allegedly entered the home of her ex-husband while he was asleep. According to a criminal complaint, she threatened to kill him and fired two rounds from a handgun inside the residence. No injuries were reported, and no one else was present in the home at the time.

Legal Proceedings

Heller was taken into custody on May 21 and initially charged with felonious assault. Her case was later bound over to the Williams County Court of Common Pleas, where she was indicted on multiple counts including:

  • Attempted aggravated murder
  • Aggravated burglary
  • Domestic violence
  • Improperly discharging a firearm at or into a habitation or school

Her bond was set at $100,000, with a condition that she not contact her ex-husband if released.

Next Court Appearance

Amanda Heller is scheduled to appear in court again on June 22.
