The coroner has identified the victim killed in a three-vehicle crash in Summerville

A fatal multi-vehicle collision in Dorchester County has claimed the life of a Summerville man.

Victim Identified

The Dorchester County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 33-year-old Bradley Jacob Phillips of Summerville died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Details of the Crash

The collision occurred on S.C. 61 near Summers Corner at 12:23 p.m. Wednesday. According to South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Nick Pye, a 2012 Honda sedan traveling south lost control and struck a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup and a 2022 Ford SUV traveling north. Phillips was pronounced dead at the scene about an hour later.

Injuries and Investigation

The other two drivers involved were taken to a hospital for treatment. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the incident.
