Authorities have revealed a key piece of evidence that helped track down the alleged killer of influencer Beauty Couch.

Incident and Arrest

In August 2023, 22-year-old content creator Beauty Couch, known online as Beauty Katera, was found dead near her burning car in Austell, Georgia, part of the Atlanta area. Two days later, her boyfriend, Eugene Tobi Louis Jacques, was arrested. He faces six charges, including murder, arson, and aggravated assault.

Key Evidence

During Jacques’s trial, Cobb County police testified that a traffic ticket belonging to Jacques was found just feet from Couch’s body. The ticket included his vehicle’s license plate number, which helped authorities track his car to Louisiana, where he was arrested two days later.

Police also presented body camera footage of Jacques’s arrest, showing him allegedly giving a false name, “Mykael Waters.” Investigators found a Boost Mobile receipt and a job application under that alias in his vehicle.

Defense Argument

Jacques’s attorney, Bryan Lumpkin, argued there is no DNA linking his client to Couch’s death. He acknowledged Jacques was in the area because he visited Couch frequently but said there is no direct evidence of him at the crime scene.

About Beauty Couch
