McDonald's manager was shot by a worker who was fired for refusing to work

A Wisconsin man who shot his manager during a fight at a McDonald’s restaurant will avoid jail time in the shooting case after reaching a plea agreement.

Fight Broke Out During Overnight Shift

Authorities said Adam Samida, 25, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of carrying a concealed weapon and disorderly conduct while using a deadly weapon.

The incident happened in October 2025 at a McDonald’s in Oshkosh.

According to investigators, Samida’s manager planned to send him home because he was allegedly not working his assigned position.

Argument Escalated Into Physical Struggle

Police said the disagreement became physical after the manager told Samida to leave the restaurant.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video that allegedly showed the manager grabbing and tackling Samida during the confrontation.

The two men later struggled inside a restroom, where Samida reportedly pulled out a handgun and shot the manager in the foot.

Suspect Arrested Without Incident

After leaving the restaurant, Samida was later found by police and reportedly handed over his weapon without resistance.

He was arrested at the scene.

Probation Ordered in Shooting Case

A judge sentenced Samida to 18 months of probation for the McDonald’s incident.

He also received six months in jail in a separate hit-and-run case, along with additional probation and community service.
