An Atlanta musician has been arrested after authorities accused him of shooting an 18-year-old man at a Florida beach and then performing at a nightclub later the same night.
Atlanta Rapper Arrested in Florida Shooting Case
Donald Anderson, 26, who performs under the stage name Jayy Wick, was arrested in Atlanta in connection with a shooting that happened on April 25 in Panama City Beach, Florida.
According to the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson allegedly shot the victim multiple times at the beach.
Police Say Suspect Performed After Shooting
Investigators claimed Anderson continued with his night after the shooting and later performed at Vibez Night Club in Panama City.
A security guard connected to Anderson reportedly told police he heard gunshots and later found the injured victim near the beach area.
Authorities have not said whether the suspect knew the victim.
Suspect Arrested in Atlanta
Police tracked Anderson to Atlanta, where he was taken into custody. Investigators also said they recovered a firearm during the arrest.
Anderson has been charged with first-degree attempted murder and is awaiting extradition to Florida.
Music Career Gained Attention Online
Anderson gained popularity online after releasing his 2025 song “Pork Chop Sammich,” which reportedly received millions of streams on Spotify.
Authorities have not released additional details about the victim’s condition or a possible motive for the shooting.
