North Charleston police are investigating after gunfire damaged several vehicles overnight at an apartment complex.
Gunfire Reported at North Charleston Apartment Complex
According to the North Charleston Police Department, officers on patrol near Dunlap Street heard gunshots coming from the Plantation Flats Apartments.
Police responded to the area and searched the complex but did not find any injured victims.
Several Vehicles Damaged
Investigators said multiple vehicles at the apartment complex had damage consistent with gunfire.
Officers also collected physical evidence from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation.
Police Reviewing Information From Possible Target
Authorities said a possible target of the shooting is cooperating with detectives and has provided information related to the case.
Police are continuing to investigate and are working to identify a suspect.
