Motorcyclist Killed in Greenville County Crash
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened Thursday night around 9:50 p.m. on Tubbs Mountain Road near Upcountry Lane. Authorities said the motorcyclist went off the roadway and struck a tree.
The victim has been identified by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office as Brian Doyle Medlin, a 45-year-old resident of Travelers Rest.

Officials confirmed that Medlin was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Despite this safety measure, he suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner’s office reported that the cause of death was blunt force trauma.
