Dorchester County will hold a Republican primary on Tuesday for candidates seeking a seat on the County Council. The primary election will determine the Republican nominee to represent District 6.
Polling Hours and Locations
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at dozens of voting locations across Summerville and one location in Ridgeville. Voters in line by 7 p.m. will still be allowed to cast their ballots.
Candidates for District 6
Three candidates are vying for the Republican nomination in District 6:
- Frank Staropoli
- Tommy Feagin
- Daniel Rogers
Election Details
To win the primary, a candidate must secure a majority of votes, meaning they need 50% plus one vote. If no candidate achieves this majority, the race will proceed to a runoff on April 7, two weeks after the primary.
