North Charleston police arrest a second man in connection with a December assault and robbery.

Shaun Laval Jenkins, 38, faces charges of first-degree assault and battery and strong-arm robbery for his alleged role in a violent moped theft in North Charleston on December 23, 2025.

Incident Summary

The attack occurred just before 3 p.m. in the 3300 block of Spruill Avenue, where police found the victim on Proctor Street with severe head and face injuries. Surveillance and cellphone videos captured two men pulling the rider off his moped, throwing him down, and punching him repeatedly before one fled on the vehicle.

Arrests

Jenkins was apprehended Wednesday at a bus station. His co-suspect, Anthony Lamar Thompson, 33, was arrested on December 30, 2025, and charged identically.
